Adam S Dean is an English luthier living and working in Ely, Cambridgeshire.
Adam was born in Cambridge, England in 1984 and ever since a young age he has had an interest in building, fixing and improving instruments. Adam has spent most of his life working on musical instruments, building his first guitar around 25 years ago. Since those early days, Adam gained a degree in Audio Music Technology, and then studied and graduated from the highly regarded Newark school of guitar making in 2009 before working full time as a musical instrument maker and repairer.
Adam believes in creating guitars that are somewhere between instrument and art. The visual elements as carefully designed as the aural elements.
Adam has a focus on building guitars using traditional methods, primarily using hand tools to build his instruments.
Adam is happy to take on all repairs, rewiring and general maintenence jobs for guitars and other fretted instruments, such as mandolins and banjos.
Adam also spent time working as one of the top drum makers in the world, building custom drum kits and snare drums that were played around the world with some of the biggest names in the industry. His drums have appeared on stage with artists such as Robert Plant, Jeff Beck, Roger Daltry, Ed Sheeran, Adele, Tom Jones and many others.
